Personal tax returns
Federal returns for individuals and families, with every deduction and credit you qualify for, filed electronically and explained in plain words.

Most people file their own return for years and then something changes: a house, a child, a side business, an inheritance, a move across the state line. That is usually when a second pair of eyes pays for itself. We prepare federal returns for individuals and families, and the other state returns that cross-border work and moves bring.
How it works
You send your papers through our secure upload or drop them at the office. We prepare the return, list any questions, and go through it with you by phone, video or in person before anything is filed. You sign electronically and we file electronically, which is the quickest way to a refund.
Washington and its neighbors
Washington has no personal income tax, so most residents file only a federal return. People who work in Idaho, moved during the year or own property in another state may need another state's return as well. Washington does tax some large long-term capital gains; if you sold stock or a business, ask us whether it applies.
Deductions people miss
- Credits for child care, education and energy-saving home improvements.
- Health savings account contributions made outside payroll.
- Expenses of a side business or a rental, and the home office rules that go with them.
- Sales tax as an itemized deduction, which matters more in a state with no income tax.
This page is general information about US and Washington taxes, not tax advice for your situation. Tax rules change every year; a meeting is where we look at yours.
